10 Must-Watch Taiwanese BL Series

This is our list of 10 must-watch Taiwanese BL series you should start binge-watching now while most of us are still under community quarantine. These BL series will make you cry, laugh, and fall in love again.

HIStory 3: Trapped

Trapped is on top of my favorite BL series. It will give you a rollercoaster of emotions so be prepared to laugh and then cry. The chemistry between Meng Shao Fei and Tang Yi is amazing. The side couple’s chemistry is also adorable. I’d definitely want to see more of Jack and Zhou.

HIStory 2: Crossing the Line

Crossing the Line is the first Taiwanese BL series I watched so it has a special place in my heart. It’s a simple love story of two high school students making it easy to follow and fall in love with. The chemistry of the lead actors was on point. The series is short but sweet!

HIStory 3: Make Our Days Count

First, the ending was a disaster but the whole series is the saving grace. I know some people decided to skip the last episode because they do not want to watch the terrible ending. If you stopped on episode 9, you’re actually good to go as all issues were already resolved at the end of the episode. But, if you’re like me who wants to see how it really ended, then watch the season finale.

HIStory 2: Right or Wrong

The story of right or wrong is simple and sweet. The chemistry between the lead stars is amazing and just feels very natural. This made me happy and kept me smiling when I was watching the final episode.

HIStory 1: Stay Away From Me

Out of all the HIStory series, this is my least favorite. I just feel like the whole series is missing something. But, overall, it is still worth watching. It’s only 4 episodes so you can finish it in less than 2 hours.

HIStory 1: Obsessed

Okay, first, Bernard and Teddy look good together. Their chemistry made this BL series more adorable. Again, this is only four episodes so it’s one of those short and sweet Taiwanese BL series. The storyline is easy to follow and again, the chemistry of the lead stars is really on point.

HIStory 1: My Hero

Okay, I had no idea what this series was all about. I just watched it out of curiosity and it turned out just fine. Lots of cliche in this series but it’s light and entertaining so it’s quite good, overall.

Dark Blue and Moonlight

Dark Blue and Moonlight is one of the few BL series that I don’t personally like the lead characters. I mean, they are both toxic especially Su Hai Qing. It’s maybe because of the circumstances they are in. I just hate cheaters, so I really got pissed off. I mean, if you love someone, just break it off! Hahaha. I really got affected by this series. LOL

Red Balloon

First, the official soundtracks of this series are lovely. The plot is quite good and the actors played their roles very well. Red Balloon has only eight episodes with only 10 minutes each. It’s very short so it’s easy to watch in one sitting.

Because of You

Because of You has a lot of potential in terms of its plot and honestly, it really could have been a lot better. Maybe it’s because it’s too short with too many characters, three couples to be exact. Nevertheless, it’s still a pretty good drama with cute and funny stories.

So, that’s it, folks! I hope you enjoyed reading this article. Have you watched all of these? Which is your favorite?

  1. You might wanna add “We Best Love” to this list. Its really cute and unlike some bl drama which looses depth in season 2, the season 2 of we best love is much more intense

  2. Now history 4 should be in top 1.I can’t wait for other episodes. Its the best one I have watched so far.All the characters plus story it’s awesome btw I totally agree about what you have written above I also had those same feelings while watching them
