The Peoples’ Democratic Republic of Laos is a landlocked country situated in the center of Indochina. It shares a border with China, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Cambodia. It has a total land area of approximately 236,800 square kilometers. It is home to the Mekong River, the world’s twelfth longest river.
