How to get to Band-e Amir National Park?

Going to Band-e Amir National Park is pretty difficult as it is situated in a remote area. The best way to get there is via Bamiyan. From there, minivans leave twice a week on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning in the high season and will cost you around USD2. Take note that the minivans will only leave if they have enough passengers so you need to be flexible with your itinerary.

How to get to Buddhas of Bamiyan?

There are buses that go to Bamiyan from Kabul but the road is quite dangerous so make sure you ask the local about the road situation before leaving Kabul. The most convenient way to go to Bamiyan is by taking a 30-minute flight from Kabul via Kam Air. The flights are on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Broghil Pass

Going to Minaret of Jam is quite difficult. Just recently, there was a fight between the Afghan forces and the Talibans near Minaret of Jam which killed 18 people. If you still want to go there, the best way is to take a Kam Air flight from Kabul to Chaghcharan District in Ghor Province. The flights are on Mondays and Fridays only.

Gardens of Babur

You can take a bus and travel overland from Kabul to Herat Province but it is a dangerous route so it’s better to take a Kam Air flight instead. There are multiple daily flights from Kabul to Herat.
